Coral Spring’s Downtown Art Walk: Groundbreaking Ceremony

The groundbreaking ceremony for the City’s Downtown Art Walk will be on tomorrow, August 27 at 9 a.m. The ceremony will be held at the Bank of America parking lot, located at 3200 N. University Drive. According to the City of Coral Springs, the Downtown Art Walk was designed as a “Unique” walk-able connection from the planned Downtown Core Area to adjacent quadrants. The Art Walk is approximately 1,300 linear feet running along the north side of NW 31 Court and will provide the community the ability to safely walk back and forth between the Downtown Core Area and The Walk.

Improvements include a new water main on the west side of N.W. 31st Court, near Coral Hills Drive and will proceed east to University Drive.

In April 2013, the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) approved a streetscape program to create an attractive pedestrian-friendly environment in the downtown core area. Streetscape improvements and water line installations will affect N.W. 31st Court, N.W. 32nd Street, N.W. 94th Avenue, University Drive, and Sample Road.

Construction of all improvements along N.W. 31st Court is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2015.
