Spring has Arrived!

The first day of spring was this past weekend, March 20th, and while South Florida residents don’t tend to notice too much of a climate shift as other parts of the country it is still a good time to do some Spring cleaning! Doing a deep cleaning every few months is necessary to keep your home maintained. Here are some tips to get you started on your spring cleaning:

Windows: Clean the inside AND outside! Tackle all those spots you haven’t had the time to really scrub.

Kitchen: Cabinets and counter tops get some serious use every day, especially depending on how well your exhaust hood above your stove works, there can be a lot of grease build up. Use a “cabinet cream” on your cabinets to remove residue. For your counters remove all items, toasters, bread boxes, etc – and make sure to get all those crumbs that have been hiding!

Refrigerator: Cleaning out your refrigerator can be a process, but it is important to do. Take out all the shelving you can and soak in warm soapy water. Wipe down all inner surfaces and outer!

Wood Floors: Wood floors are tricky, and while you may want to mop them every week this can sometimes ruin them. It is better to wet clean only every few months, in between cleanings just spot clean and sweep!

Walls: Keeping paint looking fresh can be tough, but a new paint job isn’t always necessary. Take a wet rag or sponge with very mild soap and spot clean any marks on the wall – this can give the room a whole fresh look by just removing a few spots!

Whatever spring cleaning job you decide to tackle good luck and when you’re finished you can reward yourself with some Florida sunshine! ☀☀☀☀
