This weekend has gone to the dogs!

Animal lovers should come out this Sunday, February 28th, for the 6th Annual “Art 4 the Animals” event. The eventis a pet adoption day produced by Florida Humane Society, a non-profit, 501C3 no-kill animal shelter located in Pompano Beach. The Florida Humane Society generously offers to share 25% of the day’s proceeds with two no-kill animal rescue groups that attend the event and win the most votes in the Art 4 the Animals online poll.

The event will be hosted by volunteers, as well as students from our local area schools, from Noon – 4PM.  Artists and students of all ages may donate artwork and photography to be put up for sale at the event. Any size work and any medium is welcome – including sculpture, paintings, drawings, stained glass, photography and jewelry.

The event will include animals available for adoption from more than 25 shelters and pet rescue groups from the South Florida area plus live music, a pet fashion show, police K-9 unit demo, pet photography, fabulous raffle prizes and so much more! Great family fun!

College and High school students can sign up prior to the event to volunteer for community service credit.

For every pet that is adopted, space becomes available for one more homeless animal to get a second chance at life.
